We’ll have 4 levels of classes on the night for Beginners, Improvers, Intermediate & Advanced dancers, so you can feel assured that there will be a class thats right for you.

HOW LONG IS THE CLASS? WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

Your Kizomba class will last 60 minutes with prepared and dedicated instructors excited to build your confidence and improve your dancing! You’ll meet and dance with everyone else in your classes as we switch partners regularly while we practice the different steps and movements. Expect the hour to fly by! After the first hour of classes, there will be a short break for refreshments after which we will move onto our classes for more experienced dancers. Our fantastic party caps off the evening, where you can try out your new dance steps to some great music, having a refreshing drink or two and get to know everyone else.

WHAT LEVEL CLASS IS RIGHT FOR ME?

LEVEL 1 (BEGINNER): The most important and fun level! This level caters for our newer dancers, from brand new students to those who have taken classes for 6 months or less. This means you have attended less that 30 classes. Each week we will work on the core basic steps and concepts of the dance plus spice things up every week with one of the 12 most important and fun partner-moves of Kizomba. The teacher will keep you on your toes by making you freestyle what you have learnt every week!

LEVEL 2 (IMPROVER): *At least 10 classes of Kizomba required - This class is for those who have started to grasp the foundations of Kizomba in level 1 and for those dancing between 3 months to 1.5 years. You will be expected to have a good awareness of the timing as well as leading & following for this level. You'll be challenged by your teachers to put your Kizomba movements into combinations, plus you’ll be introduced to the next 12 partner-move concepts in Kizomba.

LEVEL 3 (INTERMEDIATE): *At least 1 year of Kizomba classes required - This class is for those who are have taken classes regularly for more than 1 year. You should be taking more than one class a week and regularly attending socials to be ready for this class. You will already have confidence in leading and following Kizomba on the dance floor and be looking to learn more complex combinations and concepts.

LEVEL 4 (ADVANCE): *At least 2 years of Kizomba classes required - Intermediate/Advanced level is limited to those students who have mastered level 1, 2 and 3 by attending Kizomba classes & parties for more than 2 years. Here we will work on more challenging and complex combinations as well as the finer points of styling and body movement.
